ANNUAL AUDREY G. BAIRD STARS OF TOMORROW AUDITIONS – 2025
The 2025 Audrey G. Baird Stars of Tomorrow Auditions took place on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the First Congregational Church of Wauwatosa. Congratulations to all the students who auditioned!
These auditions were open to Wisconsin high school string, woodwind, brass and percussion musicians. The three finalists will have the honor of appearing as soloists with the MSO at the Audrey G. Baird Stars of Tomorrow Concert on April 8, 2025. In addition to the honor of performing as a soloist with the Milwaukee Symphony, winners are eligible to receive up to $2,000 in awards. MSO musicians serve as judges for all rounds of the competition. Semi-finalists and honorable mentions will be given the opportunity to play side-by-side with Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra musicians.
STARS OF TOMORROW CONCERT APRIL 8, 2025
Please join us at 7:30 p.m. on April 8, 2025, for the annual Audrey G. Baird Stars of Tomorrow concert. Our three finalists will perform their concerto movements with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra on the first half. After intermission and the announcement of the 2025 Stars of Tomorrow Winner, the semifinalist and honorable mention students from the February competition will perform Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony side by side with the musicians of the MSO.
